Aku, Jakarta, Grab & Macet

Assalamualaikum, hello there fellow readers!

So I've been traveling here and there for the past 2 months. This is the sweetness of being unemployed (haha, NOT!). So last December I went to Jakarta to buy some stuff that I could get cheaper there instead of here in Malaysia. So I went there with my family for 5 days. As always, Jakarta being Jakarta...the road was forever in a traffic jam ughhh!

Usually, we would take a taxi to get to our hotel, but this time around we thought of taking a grab instead, because taxi anywhere is a lot more expensive kan. So here goes our experience getting a grab there. Since we're from Malaysia, obviously we have no mobile data on our phone because we're using Malaysian number (we try hard not to use roaming bcs its soooo expensive!). Anyway, we tried to connect to the airport's wifi but to no avail (⌯˃̶᷄ ﹏ ˂̶᷄⌯) The wifi signal was soooo unstable...

My dad and my bro arrived there earlier, and my dad told us that there's a grab stand at terminal 3. So me and my mum went back and forth, searching for the stand, but there wasn't any stand found! I went and ask the workers there, asking for directions, and each and every person that I asked gave me different directions...like what on earth?! I kept on asking them where to get a grab, where's the grab stand but still...it was nowhere to be found. Until...I went to a counter and asked the guy there, hoping he will be the last person I need to ask the same question. Unfortunately, he doesn't know either, but luckily he offered to share his hotspot so I could book a grab! Phewww...

Ironically, there was no grab available keh3 sadis kan! And then I got fed up and continue my search, until I saw a guy wearing a shirt with the word "Grab" written on it!!! Apa lagi, I marched towards him and he said he can book a grab for me since I don't have an access to the Wifi. Alhamdulillah akhirnya! Aku dah stress dah masatu hahaha. So we waited for quite some time (again), until our grab arrived. It was Maghrib by then and the road was ahahaha apa lagi macet (jammed) la kan! So there we were, stuck for another hour on the road. Belum kira lagi kitorang sesat cari tempat tinggal tu hahaha sabo jela ಥ_ಥ

So there goes my experience searching for a grab there hahaha. So my advice, make sure you buy an Indonesian number at the airport as it's going to save you more time and money! So the next day tu memang kitorang terus beli simcard, specifically with unlimited internet because we're not staying in a hotel, so there's no wifi haha. Plus, senang nak cari grab kalau ada internet en.

In conclusion, aku nasihat korang yang nak ke Jakarta tu, once you arrive at the airport, terus pergi parking lot West Gate Terminal 3 (kalau x silap la), the same level tu, cari pekerja yang pakai tshirt tulis "Grab" tau. Kalau korang takde wifi, dia akan order kan grab untuk korang. Kalau korang ada wifi, order grab sendiri and then tunggu grab korang kat tempat yang sama. Kat parking lot tu. Kat situ memang agak crowded sebab semorang amek orang kat situ tapi memang kat situ je Grab akan pickup. Okay, tu aje yang aku nak kongsi kali ni heee. Siapa yang suka membaca, belajar serious2(baca buku and stuff) boleh la amek ini course. *like i said td , i dunno much abt BEN, so sket jela aku tulis haha . Nak tahu lebih2, kena rujuk pada kengkawan BEN aku ler...

Internship Experience

Assalamualaikum and happy weekend dear readers! So harini aku nak cerita pengalaman aku ber internship sepanjang seminggu ni ya. Jadi pertama sekali, aku sedang menjalani latihan industri di Zoo Negara Malaysia. Pada mulanya, sesiapa pun akan rasa macam, "Wahhhh syoknya kerja kat zoo! Boleh tengok harimau hari-hari!". Well, tbh, takdela kau rasa nak lepak tengok harimau everyday kan haha. Kat Zoo Negara tu aku buat praktikal bawah Public Relation Department. Kalau korang student language, biasa zoo akan letak bawah Education Dept...kat situ best la sikit (i suppose) sebab kat situ kita boleh tolong jadi tour guide untuk visitors yang datang, kita tolong assist volunteers yang datang, tolong assist visitors bagi haiwan makan, so yeah yang tu syiok sikit kot. Ada je benda lain yang korang kena buat, tapi so far yang tu jela yang aku tahu haha. But one thing about ZN, dea takde sediakan elaun tau. So kalau korang nak kerja yang ada elaun, ZN is definitely not the place ...

IIUM Pagoh, Johor

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! I'm so sorry that it took me longer than expected to write a post about IIUM Pagoh hahaha! WHAT IS IT? First and foremost, IIUM Pagoh is just another branch of IIUM campus just like what they have in Kuantan and Gombak. However, what's so special about IIUM Pagoh is that, ONLY students from Kulliyyah of Languages and Mangement (KLM) will be moving there. Well, what makes us so special that we have the whole IIUM to ourselves? Well, simply because we are the ONLY ONES who do not have our own building. So yeah, Tan sri Muhyiddin Yassin was so nice that he proposed this idea of having IIUM in Pagoh which happens to be his hometown so yeah, that's the short version of the story. Just a brief one just to give uguys an idea about it. Actually, kat Pagoh ni its going to be an education hub, and that means there will be few other universities/ institution there besides IIUM. Ada UTM, UTHM, Politeknik and IIUM. And we will have to share some...
